Does writing have the power to enact social change

I think that writing does have the power to enact allot of change not just social. When you read someones writing and they are telling a story in a way that you agree with then you would start to do that. Like if i read a paper that said we need to stop drinking sodas because it is killing the whole world. I would do that if they wrote it in a way that makes me understand and they have a good reason for it. When i read bombing of Baghdad. It really hit home. It showed me the real stuff that was going over there in the war. It also made me want to help and do anything in my power to to help.

  1. Some well articulated thoughts here Carl. I would like to know more about the ways in which Jordan's writing affected you. In the future, you might consider bringing in some of the writers' words about which you write. I have the notion that intermingling their voices with your own might inspire you in a variety of ways as a writer and thinker.
